Trainee & Student Day

Dear colleagues,

Last week, the newly launched Trainee and Student Day took place in Pfullingen. For this purpose, all our young talents from Pfullingen came together to deal with the topic of sustainability. At the beginning of the event, various getting-to-know-you games were on the agenda to loosen up the atmosphere a bit and get to know each other better. The 15 trainees and students got to talk more and were able to learn a lot about each other and, above all, about the topic of sustainability.

After further input from Halti Oluk's GoZero presentation, our trainees and students were allowed to use their newly gained theoretical knowledge and their own experiences to work out their very own sustainability strategy in small groups. We had a great mix here of students, commercial trainees, but also technical trainees. All four groups came up with very good concepts, which they were then allowed to present to the whole group. After the presentations, the results were discussed again in detail and the suggestions on how to actively live more sustainably and, above all, how to use this in the company were prioritized. We would like to gradually implement these interesting and above all important ideas in our various departments as well as in our private lives.

We were especially happy that our master student Kristina Volk took so much time for the preparations of this day and besides the presentation of her master thesis, which is titled "Analysis of a Product Carbon Footprint as a Basis for a Sustainable Energy Efficient Production", she was available for everyone with words and deeds throughout the day.

We are looking forward to continue working together with our trainees and students and also to further promote the topic of sustainability especially GoZero.

Our next meeting is planned for April, where the trainees and students will be able to elaborate and concretize their ideas in order to further support the PRETTL group on its way to climate neutrality.

We had a lot of fun on this day and are proud of the active cooperation of our young talents and thank you again for the positive feedback and the further interest in days of this kind.
