„E-mobility is a topic that is moving the minds of people in many ways. The same applies to us as a company because, after all, mobility has always been a key issue for the Prettl Group."

E-Mobility on two wheels – the eBike
A new generation of bicycles are conquering our towns and countryside and are already a part of everyday life: eBikes are a modern form of transport for modern people. They're perfect for people in a hurry, for keep-fit fans, for commuters and people cycling for pleasure, and ideal for young and old alike. Behind the most technically advanced eBikes, which include over 50 leading European cycle brands, are components, a few of which have been brought to perfection by Prettl.
Prettl's product portfolio includes cable harnesses for batteries and bikes, with many different variants available.
E-Mobility on four wheels – charging stations
E-cars are quiet, energy-efficient and non-polluting: e-mobility is fast developing into a climate-friendly means of transportation. Drivers who also power these alternative vehicles with electricity generated from 100 percent renewable energy will, in effect, be making a double contribution to protecting the environment with their zero-emission driving. With the progress being made on electric motors in cars and improvements to batteries, it is no wonder that the number of charging stations is increasing. Among others, these come in the form of electric charging stations and charging points in, for instance, car parks, where cars can be charged while the driver goes shopping.

How is Prettl involved?
Whereas the cable and plug connections manufactured by Prettl play a decisive role when it comes to e-bikes, the current is the most important factor for e-cars. When vehicles are charged, a very large amount of current is drawn from the power grid in a short time. To keep the power grid stable, and enable current from renewable sources to be used for charging vehicles, REFUenergy, which is part of the Prettl Group, has developed energy storage system solutions that are perfect for integrating in charging stations, and "electrical fuel stations".
